How long should I fast?

Fasting can be undertaken at any age, from young children to senior citizens. There are many factors that determine the length of the fast, including the mental-emotional state of the patient, physical condition, along with observed signs as the fast progresses.

Deep tissue cleansing and healing does not truly begin until after the third day of the fast. However, short fasts of three to five days can be extremely beneficial.

Longer fasts allow the body to correct deeper long held conditions.

At Yellowstone Peaks, a consultation with Dr. Carp is conducted before the stay, to determine what would be ideal. Often the fast is limited by time and financial circumstances of the patient. Any amount of time spent fasting is beneficial, and there are always benefits. It is not a question of if, but how much will one benefit. Yellowstone Peaks offers the ideal environment and supportive treatments to maximize the fasting experience.
