The Daily Fast Monitoring Program

The daily health monitoring program.

Fasting is an extremely safe procedure. Some conditions require more monitoring than others, but 95% of people can fast with no medical issues. There may be transient symptoms or healing crises, and these are managed by Dr. Carp. Every patient is unique in their ability to fast and experiences during the fast, but all patients have the same result – improved health.

Yellowstone Peaks runs the following daily procedures run to assure an optimal fasting experience:

  • Urinalysis

  • Heart rate

  • Blood pressure

  • Orthostatic Adrenal test

  • Weight

  • Visual indicators: Tongue, eyes, skin

Activity during the fast is determined by the amount of energy the patient is experiencing.

If energy is high, more activity is allowed to a point.

It's important to balance boredom with some activity, but not activity that drains energy and reduces detoxification.

When the fasting process results in fatigue, the patient is encouraged to rest. Fatigue during a fast does not mean one is running out of nutrients. Rather, the vital forces of the body are directed inward, to correct a particular condition. It is not uncommon for fasting patients to have more energy on the fifth or eighth day of a fast than on previous days.

This does not make sense nutritionally as no food is coming into the system. However, certain toxins and chemicals, once eliminated from the body, allow cellular processes to proceed at a much more efficient rate. Thus, fat metabolism is enhanced, and cellular metabolism is boosted back to normal levels, and increased energy and mental acuity are two common benefits – provided the proper fasting procedure is followed.
